For a student who goes above and beyond, behind the scenes.
In the time she has been with us, Helena has been an absolute example to all of us and has strived to overcome barriers. Despite a serious medical condition, she has remained positive and utterly committed to her studies. Furthermore, she is good natured, hard-working and talented. What more could you ask for in a student?

For a student who faces, or has faced, a barrier to learning.
Anna remained committed to her course through a pregnancy and while looking after her new born baby. Her work remained outstanding throughout and she is destined for a triple Distinction Star grade. Anna is a true inspiration for both staff and students alike. Sunny commented, 'Adapting to changes in life is so difficult, but in juggling her role as a new mother and returning to college she still managed to produce fantastic work'.

Judged by Sunny SJ Winter: Sunny has worked in social media and content creation in the music industry including BBC Introducing Live, Latitude Festival, Bestival, and Wild Paths. He is currently a Manager in Neighbouring Rights at Kobalt Music.
For a student who has done great things to promote mental health and wellbeing.
Emily is a high needs funded learner who, despite being younger than many of her peers has been described by one of her adult classmates as 'the mother of the course'. She has helped to support all of her classmates and, as one friend said, 'will always offer any advice, support or assistance to anyone who needs it'. Emily has also been a keen advocate for the LGBT+ community and has promoted equality and diversity in college and in a range of public events, including the Walk for Women in Manchester.

Judged by Julia Garden from YoungMinds. YoungMinds is the UK’s leading mental health charity and are the partners of this year’s Mind Matters Charity Project.
For a student who excelled in their work placement.
Amy has secured full time employment at Re-Production, the studio where she did her work placement. She is employed as a Sound Engineer, a role she got through a combination of determination and skills. Alongside this Amy set up her own business, Allied Sounds, with fellow student Stan and built an incredible website and booking system for the college studio which she managed alongside tutors.

NATIONAL MUSIC AWARDS
BlueFeed consist of Emily Render, Noah Evans and Ben Bluck. The indie outfit are influenced by the likes of The Libertines and The Kinks and actively gig in their area, as well as recording and releasing their own music. Nina from AIM/UK Music was 'very impressed by their music and creative branding'.

$ebbuku (Seb Bates) is developing an increasingly strong following of admirers and has both his heart and mind set on leaving an impact on the world. His style is current, high quality and well developed, with a wide variation of musical genres in his make up from dark trap, rap to alternative rock. Despite his youth he has already won Norwich Outline magazine's top tune twice. Paul was very impressed with the work Seb had done building his Spotify following and for the amount of storytelling in his work.

Dan is a talented multi instrumentalist, producer and performer. He has worked consistently to develop engineering skills and has supported the recording and production of work by a number of peers/students. Zack gave the award on the strength of the diversity of music and its readiness for radio play.

Judged by Zack Knight, a British-Pakistani producer who, as well as his celebrated own music, has written for Tinie Tempah and Ginuwine and performed with Taio Cruz, Mario and Jessie J Live at venues such as Wembley and the O2.
DJ Charlie Price started in 2021 on Twitch playing house and disco and was greeted, looked after and raided by some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Sam Divine, The Shapeshifters, Aline Rocha, DJ Meme, Defected Records and Glitterbox. Currently, Charlie makes and plays out disco-orientated house. Scott at Point Blank loved Charlie's passion for disco, enthusing that his 'mixing was spot on with great use of effects'.

Judged by Scott from Point Blank FM. This award winning and long-established underground station broadcasts worldwide and specialises in house, funk, soul and breaks.
Charlotte Sometimes (Kayleigh McCarthy) is a natural performer and a great lyricist, with a voice that suits pop, rock, soul and more. This track is the singer songwriter’s debut as a solo act - she is most typically known in the Birmingham scene for strutting the stage with her more rock influenced band, Mini Milk And The Kraves. Chris and his fellow judges at BPI were drawn to her 'unique vocal style with a simple, yet powerful, sound', describing the track Sunblock as a perfect groove to a summer's day.

Judged by Chris Tams and others at the BPI. The BPI represents the UK record industry, consisting of the 3 majors and over 500 independent labels. Chris is responsible for running the BPI’s membership activities and trade missions.
Bill completed a highly accomplished recording project executed over numerous sessions with the band Afraid of Ghosts. He used almost every aspect and almost every piece of gear in the studio to capture a range great tones, with a great ear for the genre and feel required by the band. Equally as importantly, he has become a trusted collaborator with the artists, leading to Bill recording and producing the band's first album over the summer. Jamie applauded the clean and crisp production and clarity of the parts.

NATIONAL GAMES AWARDS
Aysheq has produced an interactive game to a professional level. As a student he is an ambassador and is flying with his work. Alice commented that 'the work was so polished I would have paid for this'. Aysheq has also been nominated once again for a Young BAFTA games award.

Judged by Alice Bowman who is a Narrative Designer at London-based Trailmix Games - they create mobile games such as the popular Love & Pies.
Nishaan has excelled in the creation of a short 3D animated film showing professional level 3D games art skills and techniques. He honed his skills at a summer work experience at Bigtooth Studios in Stafford. Judging the award, Noemi enthused that 'I loved the design, the way you presented it and the strong aesthetic that you showed. I can definitely see me playing a game with your designs'.

Judged by Noemi Pischedda who is a full-time 2D illustrator and animator at Playtra Games, a London-based indie studio known for their Grid Force series.
Chris has meticulously planned and designed not just a game, but a whole world. His level of detail is illustrative and completely comprehensive, as well as being clear and coherent. Chris has maintained this level of dedication into the production phase of his game project, meeting development needs and overcoming challenges through learning and appropriate contingencies. He has documented his work and presented his project in a consumable, user-friendly manner. Pedro praised Chris' 'very big passion for games design and the craft itself'.

NATIONAL MEDIA AWARDS
With a limit of one month for production, Frankie and Oli managed to interview 6 different people, all with a variance in culture. A leading Manchester drag queen; a transgender male; an upcoming acoustic artist and actor; a leader of an upcoming band and learn more about religion, specifically Islam. The 4 interviews that made the cut tell their stories effectively and allow the viewer to gain a strong insight into the topics on display. Eugene considered the film to be 'a really great piece of storytelling and a really professional piece of filmmaking'.

Judged by Eugene Riecansky, a London-based artist and mentor with nearly three decades of experience working in the music, film, and motion graphics industries. He has worked alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment including Jim Carrey, Massive Attack, Maxon, Vivienne Westwood, The Prodigy, and Madonna.
Nev has created a striking and interesting self portrait which reflects the photographer's introspection and feeling of numbness. Andi chose this photograph because 'it's an intriguing and powerful image that makes the viewer respond to the negative space

Judged by award-winning photographer, Andi Sapey. Andi specialises in portrait and documentary photography and has produced work for the British Museum, the National Trust, Little Brown Books and the Sainsbury Centre of Visual Arts.
An excellent design solution for a new energy drink. Arushi evidences excellent research and development and a fine end product that would outshine most similar products. Amy considered in 'an exceptional piece of work which you could imagine on the shelves'.

NATIONAL COMPUTING AWARDS
Joe followed his interest in the language of C++, as well as his interest in hardware and embedded systems, to create an original and interesting emulator that can simulate an old games device and play retro games from the past. Tom was impressed by 'the high level of polish and ambitious scope' of the project.

NATIONAL EVENTS & ESPORTS AWARDS
Ella Brook led a team of events students in putting together a successful International Women's Day event at The Night Owl in March. The event involved liaison between the events, sound engineering, vocal artist and music performance students. Ella took an active role in the organisation of this event and on the day. Lee particularly commended the 'organisational skills which were on display'.

Judged by Lee Warren, Events Director at Bauer Media, the UK’s leading publisher and Digital Commercial Audio broadcaster. He organises events for brands such as Kerrang!, Kiss, Empire and Hits Radio.
Tommy organised various Super Smash Bro tournament events within the cafe at Access. Tommy took the initiative to run these events, liaising with resources to confirm space time and numbers. Tommy acted as event shoutcaster and streamed the events within the cafe for others to enjoy.
