SPECIAL AWARD WINNERS
For an ACC student who faces, or has faced, a barrier to learning.
James started from scratch with no experience of making music and is gaining confidence every day. He has been a constant in the centre all year and is motivated and cares so much about his work.
For an ACC student who has effectively supported and promoted awareness of wellbeing and mental health.
Throughout the year it has been noted by students and staff that Luke always checks with everyone that he speaks with to check they are feeling good and positive. He has a huge smile and a genuine interest in those around him.
PLYMOUTH MUSIC AWARDS
Nominated by several of his peers, Shane is motivated to achieve a singing career. Studying production has given Shane the ability to record his own tracks and develop compositions. He has also worked with a producer in Southampton on a track that was a real showcase of his ability. With gigs under his belt, including charity events and collaborations with other artists, Shane is making things happen for himself.
Josh is an extremely motivated and talented producer who cares a lot about his music and relationships around him. With collaborations with artists and singers around the world, remixes and bootlegs, Josh is nothing but prolific as a producer and pours heart, soul and technical skills into all of his music projects. All the music that Josh makes, he uses in his own DJ sets.
Tom Perkins is always looking to explore different ways of creating sounds and music. His track ‘Soda Pop’ is the epitome of this. A worthy winner for Song and composition of the year.
Taking inspiration and sounds from around his kitchen, using his knowledge of production and sampling to create musical ideas before forming into a fully finished track and releasing to the world.
